Rabi-ul-Awwal Moon Sighting: 1st Rabi-ul-Awwal and Eid Milad-un-Nabi Dates Confirmed in Pakistan

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee of Pakistan has officially announced that the crescent moon for Rabi-ul-Awwal 1448 AH was not sighted across the country.

Following formal moon-sighting sessions held in Islamabad along with zonal committee meetings in key provincial cities, committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad made the final announcement.

Because no credible testimonies of the crescent sighting were received, the holy month of Safar will complete 30 days.

• 1st Rabi-ul-Awwal 1448 AH: Saturday, August 15

• 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal (Eid Milad-un-Nabi): Wednesday, August 26
