PESHAWAR: The Elementary and Secondary Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has released an urgent warning regarding a fake notification circulating across social media platforms about the extension of summer holidays.
Official authorities clarified that the document being shared online is completely fake and unauthentic. The department strongly advised students, parents, teachers, and school administrations not to pay attention to these fake updates or make plans based on them.
What Did the Fake Notification Claim?
The circulating fake notice claimed that the provincial government had extended the summer break for both public and private schools in the summer zone of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa until August 31, 2026. It further falsely stated that schools would reopen on September 1, 2026.
However, education officials confirmed that no such extension order has been issued.
Designed to Mislead the Public
The warning was issued after officials noticed that the fake document was created to closely match an official government order. It carried the official name, standard government styling, and formatting of the Elementary and Secondary Education Department to make it appear genuine and confuse the public.
