Over 84,000 pilgrims have deposited their first payment installment for Hajj 2027 under the official government scheme.
So far, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has collected a total of Rs 52.5 billion in initial deposits through official digital payment channels.
Seat Availability Breakdown
The government offers two main Hajj packages to suit different schedules:
Short Hajj Package (20 to 25 Days): Demand was extremely high, and all 30,000 available seats were fully booked on the very first day.
Long Hajj Package (40 Days): Around 23,000 seats remain available for interested applicants.
The ministry has advised prospective pilgrims to complete their registration profiles on the official Pak Hajj mobile app or the Hajj portal as soon as possible. Seat bookings for the 40-day package will close immediately once the remaining quota is filled.
New Hajj Quota Approved for Overseas Pakistan Origin Card (POC) Holders
In a major policy update, Saudi Arabia has officially permitted foreign citizens of Pakistani origin who hold a Pakistan Origin Card (POC) to perform Hajj under Pakistan's national quota for the first time.
Key details about the new POC quota include:
Dedicated Allocation: 1% of Pakistan's total Hajj quota is reserved specifically for POC cardholders.
Total Seats: 1,792 spots are set aside for POC holders for Hajj 2027.
Application Options: Qualified POC holders can apply through either the government scheme or approved private operators.
Who Qualifies: Overseas individuals who originally held Pakistani citizenship but later gave up their Pakistani passports and acquired foreign nationality.
