Key Voice Features Introduced

Google is rolling out three specialized tools designed for specific daily workflows:

  • Gmail Live (Conversational Inbox Search): Users can ask direct questions about their inbox instead of manually scrolling through long email chains. For example, asking "What is my flight's gate number?" prompts the system to scan relevant messages and give an instant spoken answer.

  • Docs Live (Hands-Free Document Creation): Acts as an interactive writing partner. Users can speak aloud to brainstorm, outline, or build full document drafts. With user permission, it can also gather facts from Google Drive, Gmail, Google Chat, and the web.

  • Keep Live (Voice-Driven Note Organization): Designed for quick thoughts on the go. Spoken ideas and raw audio are automatically cleaned up and formatted into structured checklists or categorized notes.

Availability and Subscription Tiers

Google is gradually rolling out these features to paid individual plans and corporate Workspace accounts:

  1. Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra Subscribers: Get access to Gmail Live and Keep Live starting this week.

  2. Google AI Pro and Ultra Subscribers: Receive full access to Docs Live for hands-free drafting and multi-source research.

  3. Google Workspace Business Customers: Enterprise and business accounts will gain access in upcoming phases.
